Mouths dropped as a young contortionist bent over backwards, smiles spread throughout the auditorium as a soloist sang, and an applause erupted after a pianist performed a song (that he had written at the age of 12).
It’s no secret that Dixon has impressive talent, but what was also impressive was the respect and support from the student body in the audience. They cheered on their friends and rooted for complete strangers. It was a risk for the performers and because their efforts were received with kindness, it gave them confidence.
Congratulations to all those who performed today! Thanks for sharing your talents and we can’t wait to see what you come up with next year!
