Timpanogos sixth graders were very excited to welcome popular young adult author, Lance Conrad, into their school last week.
During his visit to Timpanogos, Conrad talked about his books and also stressed the importance of reading and writing. He explained that a person’s writing will never be perfect the first time– it takes a lot of hard work. He discussed that making mistakes in your writing is normal and okay. He also got the students excited about writing by teaching them to continuously ask the question “what if?”.
Through Lance Conrad’s visit, Timpanogos sixth graders were able to meet a popular author and receive great writing tips, experience the joy of reading and writing and learn that it is okay to not get things right the first time.
Thank you to Lance for visiting Timpanogos Elementary and setting a positive example for our students!
