Community Business Partnerships

cansEast Bay Post High supports individuals with disabilities in their journey towards adulthood. This includes instructing students in the development of vocational skills necessary for increasing positive work habits and attitudes and promoting independence.

Building community partnerships with businesses allows for assessment, evaluation and instruction for vocational readiness. Partnerships provide a training site where students can practice and demonstrate their work skills. When students are engaged in meaningful work, in an inclusive environment, self-confidence and quality of life increase. Students develop valuable work skills and use those skills to better prepare for future employment outcomes. Students are also provided with opportunities to interact and build relationships that will allow them to actively participate in their community.

Students work in groups of 3 to 4 supervised by a vocational trainer. Days and times are flexible, within program hours. Internship or apprenticeship placements are also an option and times are flexible. The Provo City School District assumes all liability in non-paid volunteer settings as is indicated by the Provo City School District Training Site Agreement.

We look forward to building a partnership with your company. We appreciate your consideration and willingness to assist and support individuals with disabilities in the Provo School District.
