6600 Procedure 4: Courtesy Bus Stops and Bus Routes
Definizioni
- Courtesy Bus Stop: a stop that is approved as part of an existing route to enable students to access available transportation services more easily and that aligns with USBE standards for reimbursement.
- Courtesy Bus Route: An additional route that is approved by the Director of Transportation in collaboration with the Business Administrator and Board of Education to maximize bus capacities and serve specific district programs.
Process for Courtesy Bus Stops and Bus Routes
Under the direction of the Transportation Department and in consultation with USBE Board Rules related to Transportation, additional bus stops and/or bus routes may be authorized to maximize bus capacities and to serve approved district programs.
Courtesy stops may be approved as part of an existing bus route that enables other students to access transportation services and aligns with USBE standards for reimbursement.
Courtesy Bus Routes may be approved for district programs, and funded by the school district, as directed by the Provo City School District Board of Education. Courtesy Routes will be evaluated annually by the Provo City School District Board of Education.
The following programs have been approved for Courtesy Routes by the Provo City School District Board of Education:
- Scuola superiore Independence
- CAPS (Center for Advanced Studies)
