Provo eSchool Summer School

Introduction

eSchool offers summer school courses to Provo students grades 9-12 through Edgenuity and BYU Independent Study. Registration begins April 8, 2019.

Cost

Each semester (.5 credit) course costs $80 to be paid at the time of registration. Each term (.25 credit) costs $40. Payment may be made in cash, check, or credit card. Please make checks payable to Provo School District.

Dates

Summer term beings May 29, 2019 and ends July 31, 2019. All course and tests MUST be completed by July 31, 2019 at midnight. Students may not begin early nor receive an extension. Students who do not complete their course(s) on time will receive an F grade for that course.

Last day to enroll in original credit course: June 27

Last day to enroll in credit recovery course: July 10

Enrollment

To enroll, please fill out and return the following form. Applications may be delivered via e-mail, fax, or in person. Please note that incoming 9th graders may now receive high school credit for a course taken during the summer following their 8th grade year.

Courses Available

Original Credit

Students may enroll in a total of 1.0 credit (two semester classes) for the summer term. All Edgenuity and BYU IS courses are available with the following exceptions:

  • Aerobics
  • Fitness for Sports and Recreation
  • Intermediate Swimming
  • Weight Training
  • Cycling
  • Jogging
  • Walking Fitness
  • Drawing
  • AP courses

**Please note that Fitness for Life is available this summer through Edgenuity. It’s a 9-week version of the course, so students must start on the first day of summer school in order to complete it.**

No K12 courses are available during the summer.

Credit Recovery

Students may enroll in credit recovery courses as well. Each .25 credit (one term) costs $35; each .5 credit (one semester) costs $60. Credit recovery courses last five weeks. We offer credit recovery courses in the following subjects:
