Provo eSchool Summer School
Dates
Summer term begins May 31, 2023. All coursework and tests MUST be completed by July 26, 2023 at midnight. Students may not begin early nor receive an extension. Students will receive an email to their student email account on or before May 31st with instructions on getting started.
Registration
Online summer school is for Provo City School District students in grades 9-12, including incoming 9th graders. No K-8 courses are available during the summer. Registration begins April 11th, and the last day to enroll in any summer classes (either original credit or credit recovery) is June 29th.
Cost: $35/.25 credit (one term)
Payable via MySchoolFees
- Make sure the name of the student on the registration form matches the name of the student on the MySchoolFees transaction.
Policies
Coursework is asynchronous, which means students may work on their courses at any time throughout each day and week of the summer term. Teachers will be available for questions via email.
Students may enroll in a total of 1.0 credit (four one-quarter classes) for the summer term.
None of the online summer classes are NCAA approved, so do not enroll in them if you wish to play college sports at a Division I or II school.
All final exams must be proctored. eSchool staff will be holding proctoring sessions virtually via Zoom at the end of July or earlier by appointment (email eSchool@provo.edu). Watch for more information under your Announcements tab. We are available to proctor Monday-Thursday.
Letter grades will be awarded for any original credit course. If you enroll in a summer school course and do not drop it within one week, you are responsible to finish the course. Any student who does not drop or finish a course will receive a failed grade. Credit recovery courses are pass/fail only.
Students need to use their own device (desktop, laptop, Chromebook). eSchool will not be checking out Chromebooks for summer school.
