Provo eSchool Summer School
*Registration for summer school is now CLOSED.*
Dates
Summer term begins May 29, 2024. All coursework and tests MUST be completed by July 25, 2024 at midnight. Students may not begin early nor receive an extension. Students will receive an email to their student email account on or before May 29th with instructions on getting started.
Registration
Online summer school is for Provo City School District students in grades 9-12, including incoming 9th graders. No K-8 courses are available during the summer. Registration begins April 8th, and the last day to enroll in any summer classes (either original credit or credit recovery) is June 27th.
Cost: $35/.25 credit (one term)
Step 1: Complete the registration form.
Step 2: Pay for your online courses via My School Fees. (see Payment instructions)
- Make sure you choose Provo District Office and NOT the name of the high school
- Make sure the name of the student on the registration form matches the name of the student on the MySchoolFees transaction.
Policies
Letter grades will be awarded for any original credit course. Credit recovery courses are pass/fail only. Any student who does not drop or finish a course will receive a failed grade. On June 17th, any course not yet started will be dropped. If you enroll on or after June 17th, you have one week to drop/change your course. Then you are responsible to finish the course.
Coursework is asynchronous, which means students may work on their courses at any time throughout each day and week of the summer term. Teachers will be available for questions via email.
Students may enroll in a total of 1.0 credit (four one-quarter classes) for the summer term.
None of the online summer classes are NCAA approved, so do not enroll in them if you wish to play college sports at a Division I or II school.
All final exams must be proctored. eSchool staff will be holding proctoring sessions virtually via Zoom at the end of July or earlier by appointment (email eSchool@provo.edu). Watch for more information under your Announcements tab. We are available to proctor Monday-Thursday except for holidays (June 19, July 4, July 24).
Students need to use their own device (desktop, laptop, Chromebook). eSchool will not be checking out Chromebooks for summer school.
