Students from Provo High School and Timpview High School recently demonstrated their business skills at the 2025 Utah DECA State Competition, held February 20-21 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton. Competing against more than 1,500 students from across the state, participants took part in a variety of business-related events, including marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, and management. These events required students to showcase their expertise through role-playing scenarios, written business plans, and professional presentations evaluated by industry experts.

Provo High School Results

Nineteen Provo High students competed in two primary event categories: role-play scenarios with a corresponding exam and written business plans with formal presentations. Many earned top honors for their performances:

Marketing Exam:

  • Harmony Bartholomew – Top 10%
  • Lincoln Jensen – Top 10%

Automotive Services Marketing:

  • Paige Barry – Finalist
  • Thomas Scott – Finalist

Business Law and Ethics Team Decision Making:

  • Mary Moody & Sabrina Orellana – Finalists
  • Lucy Patrick & Mazie Smith – Finalists

Buying and Merchandising Operations Research:

  • Benjamin Busker, Amelia Gardner, & Thomas Scott – Top Finalists

Integrated Marketing Campaign – Product:

  • Collin Casperson, Connor Casperson, & Kayla Stoddard – Top Finalists

Marketing Management Team Decision Making:

  • Harmony Bartholomew & Lincoln Jensen – Top Finalists

Financial Services Team Decision Making:

  • Eliza Bartholomew & Emmeline Dally – 6th Place

Finance Operations Research:

  • Eliza Bartholomew, Emmeline Dally, & Mallory Gordon – 5th Place

Business Solutions Project:

  • Amelia Gardner, Mallory Gordon, & Cora Toutai – 5th Place

Sports & Entertainment Marketing Operations Research:

  • Paige Barry, Eliza Bartholomew & Cora Toutai – 3rd Place

Timpview High School Results

Timpview High School also had a strong showing, with all attending students advancing to the final rounds of their events. Notable achievements include:
