Why I Teach Feature: Nancy Guthrie

This week’s feature is Nancy Guthrie. Nancy teaches fifth grade at Provost Elementary school and this is her first year! Nancy enjoys teaching science and math to younger children because so they can understand concepts clearly before they move on to secondary education. Throughout the year, Nancy has noticed her students take responsibility for their learning. They know a lot of their success depends on them and it makes her happy to see the kids care about their education.
