They are at the front of the school, the first smiling face you see in the morning and the last face you see as you leave.
This month, we are focusing on celebrating our Education Support Professionals. Twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, we are recognizing different groups that fall under the Educational Support Professional title and today the group we are highlighting is our secretaries.
Secretaries wear many different “hats” as they take on a variety of responsibilities at their school. Some of these “hats” include assisting students, interacting with parents, coordinating substitutes, communicating with individuals around the district, making purchasing orders, answering phones, scheduling appointments, recording student attendance, composing newsletters and much more.
These amazing individuals play a vital part in keeping our schools running smoothly and, consequently, in positively impacting a child’s education. We are grateful for all of our school secretaries and appreciate all they do daily. The next time you visit your child’s school, make sure to stop by and thank your school secretaries for all that they do.
