Students at Spring Creek Elementary were warmly greeted by fruits and vegetables as they went to lunch recess yesterday. The individuals dressed as fruits and vegetables were students from the Obesity Childhood Campaign Group at Utah Valley University.

The Obesity Childhood Campaign Group is an organization started at Utah Valley University to help fight against childhood obesity. Their main purpose is to show children how important it is to eat healthy foods and stay active.

The students each received their own jump rope from the group to remind them of the importance of daily exercise and remaining active. Throughout recess, the students were able to jump rope with their new vegetable and fruit friends.

Thank you to the UVU Obesity Childhood Campaign Group for getting our students excited about good health through visiting Spring Creek Elementary.
