Timpview Robotics competed in a Regional Vex Robotics Competition where they earned the Excellence award and qualified for State. At the State competition, Richard Stallard earned the Utah Robotics Student of the Year award. Stallard, who has participated on the team for several years and taken robotics and programming courses at Timpview, is also working in Provo CAPS (Center for Advanced Professional Studies). Stallard and his CAPS team are helping a client assemble and program a robotic arm and automated system for their production line. The learning path for these students, from starting robotics classes, to advanced competitions, to real-world robotics in the Provo CAPS program, is like no other. The culmination of these experiences sets students miles ahead for post-graduation success in their academic and professional careers.

The team is winding down their Vex Robotics season and shifting to more advanced robotics to compete against college students at an event hosted by BYU and sponsored by Texas Instruments this spring. We look forward to future accomplishments from Timpview Robotics. Also, keep an eye out for an update on Timpview Robotics at the BYU Robotics Competition.
