Each winter season, KSL invites listeners to donate quarters to their Quarters for Christmas drive. All proceeds go to charitable Utah organizations clothing struggling children. This last December, Rock Canyon students took on the call to action from KSL, and collected fourteen hundred dollars in mostly quarters for a charity donation. Quarters piled in from allowances, couch cushions, from below furniture and through parent donations.

To celebrate Rock Canyon’s donation, KSL dropped into Rock Canyon Elementary with Mrs. Claus and the Elf on the Shelf. The Christmas festivities begin with a photo-op with a large presentation check. The kids then donned Santa hats, danced and caroled to classic Christmas songs, and won prizes by answering quiz nutritional questions.

Along with the festivities, Rock Canyon kids gave the gift of warmth for children in need, ringing in the new year in a spirit of charity and goodwill.
