The Provo Way award is an opportunity for the district to celebrate the positive things students, teachers, administrators, parents, and staff do for the community.
This week, we’d like to celebrate and congratulate Centennial Middle School Administrative Assistant, Emily Ensign.
Emily is the first person you meet when you come through the door, alongside a few students. She sets the tone and mood for every visit, serving as the face of the school. Emily is the go-to for check-outs, event information and directions, bell schedules, and much, much more.
Emily Ensign’s nomination came from Joanne Naylor, a Speech-Language Pathologist with our district, who not only knows how valuable Emily is to the district, but to parents, too. To quote her nomination letter:
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Emily as a parent and coworker. She is always very friendly and helpful. Emily has helped me with everything– from simple questions about the school, to advice on how to help my daughter be a successful student, to obtaining useful information for when my daughter was ready to go to high school. She was a pleasure to work with when my daughter performed in school musicals. Now, as a coworker, she’s helped me follow procedures when I had to do student observations. Emily is always willing to help and go the extra mile to obtain information she might not have at her fingertips.
It is a true pleasure to work with her.
Emily Ensign is an all-around asset to Centennial Middle School for staff, parents, and students.
Congratulations, and thank you, Emily Ensign.
