What if you were asked to map specific locations, pinpoint bodies of water, and identify countries based on a few facts? This, among other tasks, were executed by Westridge students yesterday afternoon. It was an intense competition, but the GeoBee finalists excelled with confidence and determination! This was especially impressive because the final two contestants were asked to answer questions in less than 15 seconds!

After a fierce match, the contestants’ peers cheered them on as the final results were revealed.

First place- Olivia Formisano

Second place- Hannah Smith

Third place- Ty Nielsen

It was a wonderful celebration, but most of all, students were able to find joy in feeding their curiosities and understanding human history and culture on a global level.

We are proud of our students! Congratulations to all those who participated. We wish the winners luck as they advance to the next competition.

State GeoBee qualifiers will be announced on March 2, 2020.
