Thanksgiving is now over and our students are back at school. However, during Thanksgiving break, many of our families were able to have their holiday infused with the spirit of giving through receiving a Thanksgiving dinner gift basket.

The givers, dubbed “Grandview Neighbors”, were those who live in the Westridge Elementary community. Together, they were able to raise donations to provide Thanksgiving dinner for 58 families. Kim Hawkins, who was the former principal of Franklin Elementary and now principal of Westridge Elementary, came to Franklin, along with a few members from the community, and presented the school with this generous donation.

It was through our local community members that many individuals and families were able to be impacted by the meaningful giving spirit of Thanksgiving this year. We love seeing our schools help each other out. Thank you to all who were involved in making this outstanding contribution happen.

We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving break and was able to take a moment to reflect on the many things there are to be grateful for.
