We Love Our Bus Drivers!

It is Bus Driver Appreciation Week and we just wanted to “stop” and let our bus drivers know how much they are appreciated. Individuals from around the district submitted their statements about why they appreciate their bus driver and here are just a few reasons why Provo City School District bus drivers are the best.

Bus Driver David

“Bus driver David used to drive #15 about 2 or 3 years ago to Westridge. He always looked out for the kids. My daughter got off the bus once and was in tears. He stopped in front of the house to ask my daughter was wrong. She said someone had been teasing her. He helped us take care of the situation. So I’d like to give a shout out to David (he looks like George Lopez). Thanks for being an amazing bus driver!!”

Bus 26

“The driver on bus 26 is seriously the nicest guy. Pili is friendly and always willing to give a hug or high five. He has a smile for everyone and wants to make sure the kids have an enjoyable and safe ride. The attendant on bus 26, Bob, is willing to do whatever crazy thing we ask him to do. He has come in and built a relationship with the students and he treats them like they are superstars.”

The Two Ladies on Bus 19

“These two ladies rock! They have had a hard go of things this year and they keep coming back, day after day, to make sure our students can get home safely. And they come back with smiles on their faces! When I told them about a new behavior plan for one of the students, Heather said she was so excited to implement it and see if it would work.”

Eternally Grateful for Bus Drivers

“After riding the bus for about a month last year, I am eternally grateful for the bus drivers and attendants, and transportation department in general, for the work they do each day to make sure our students are safe. I’m convinced it is one of the hardest jobs in the school district and they keep showing up, happily, to do their jobs. THANK YOU, transportation department!”

Bus 26 Monday afternoon thru Friday Morning.

“The bus driver for the times above is a fantastic bus driver. He is always smiling and chuckling while hardly talking, he has fun with his job. He also waits for any kid that’s still walking down the street in order to get everyone.”

Bus 42, Sherie and Pam

“My son loves going to school and I know it’s because of the fun ride he starts with everyday, thank you for caring. We love you!”

Thank you to all of the bus drivers around the district for getting our students to school safely and creating a positive environment for all. We couldn’t do it without you. You are appreciated!
