Students in Michelle Hatch’s 5th grade class at Wasatch Elementary tested their grit by exploring and learning how to use Adobe Spark to create a persuasive writing presentation.
After a careful reading of instructions as a class, students were set free to persuade others to choose to read their favorite book through an audio-visual presentation made on Adobe Spark.
Adobe Spark is a free online graphic design application accessed by students on their classroom laptops. This application allows students to easily create digital presentations and apply their learning into an audio-visual platform.
This project combined creativity and technology, requiring patience as students were challenged to try something new. Students were encouraged to try every step of the creation process by themselves before reaching out to other students and Ms. Hatch.
This project is a prime example of the implementation of the Provo Way Learning Initiative and the integration of technology in the classroom.
