Utah Valley Everyday Hero: Leann Moody
Dixon Middle School’s Leann Moody was recognized as the Daily Herald’s Utah Valley Everyday Hero on May 10, 2017 for her cultivation of a love a literacy among students through her guest author program.
Moody encourages continual reading throughout the whole year, especially summer, by hosting authors of books deemed popular by her students about twice per school year. She has hosted authors for 15 years.
She is an avid reader herself and plans to read 40 books this summer, setting a great example for her students.
