Thank You, Librarians

Though many think of them as just the person who catalogues and reshelves books, librarians play an integral role in our school district. These unsung individuals who have a special gift for serving others are the kindest, most helpful people we know.

It is safe to say that being a librarian is more than just reading, and a library is more than just a home for books. Our libraries serve the heart of each school and our librarians keep them beating. Each of them has a close relationship and connection with their book collection which enables them to match readers with books that will truly speak to them.

Our librarians represent steadiness and stability at our schools and to our students. Their friendly, familiar faces provide some consistency for students through their academic career. Their efforts to provide and maintain a space where students can be themselves – allowing them to embark on all kinds of adventures found in every book – does not go unnoticed. Nonetheless, each of our libraries are carefully tailored to meet the needs of the school’s student population.

Our district is very lucky to have such amazing librarians who keep libraries in order and contribute to the enrichment of our schools every day.

Aunque muchos piensan que son sólo la persona que cataloga y guarda los libros, los bibliotecarios son parte integral de nuestro distrito escolar. Estos individuos poco reconocidos que tiene un don especial para servir a los demás son las personas más amables y serviciales que conocemos.

Es seguro decir que ser un bibliotecario requiere algo más que leer, y una biblioteca es más que un hogar para los libros. Nuestras bibliotecas son el corazón de cada escuela y nuestros bibliotecarios las hacen latir. Cada uno de ellos tiene una estrecha relación y conexión con su colección de libros, lo que les permite encontrar a los lectores con libros que realmente les interesen.

Nuestros bibliotecarios representan la constancia y la estabilidad en nuestras escuelas y para nuestros alumnos. Sus rostros amables y familiares proporcionan cierta consistencia a los estudiantes a lo largo de su carrera académica. Sus esfuerzos por proporcionar y mantener un espacio en el que los estudiantes puedan ser ellos mismos -permitiéndoles embarcarse en todo tipo de aventuras que se encuentran en cada libro- no pasan desapercibidos. Sin embargo, cada una de nuestras bibliotecas está cuidadosamente adaptada para satisfacer las necesidades de la población estudiantil del centro.

Nuestro distrito tiene mucha suerte de contar con bibliotecarios tan increíbles que mantienen las bibliotecas en orden y contribuyen al enriquecimiento de nuestras escuelas cada día.
