We are pleased to announce that Spring Creek Elementary was selected as one of the sixty-three U.S. schools that have been named 2017 National Title 1 Distinguished Schools.

This honor is given to schools for either exceptional student performance overall, for significantly closing the achievement gap between student groups or for excellence in serving special populations of students (e.g. Homelessness, migrant, English learners, etc.). The National Title 1 Distinguished Schools Program uses this award to recognize the schools who have successfully utilized their Title 1 funds to catalyze outstanding academic achievements and improvements from their students.

Title I is the cornerstone of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. It is the largest federally funded pre-college education program in the United States and provides funding to school districts to aid in the education of economically disadvantaged students.

Spring Creek Elementary, along with the other selected schools, will be honored on February 9, 2018 at the 2018 National Title 1 Conference held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Congratulations to Spring Creek for this outstanding recognition!
