Project Scope: Centennial Middle School

Scope: Centennial Middle School security upgrade includes an aluminum storefront to create a secure vestibule at the Main Entry, allowing visitors access to the Main Office to check in. Access controls & a card reader will be provided at the new doors. The storefront requires tube steel column and beam bracing. Access control will be provided at an existing door in the Reception, leading back into the school, as well as a card reader. Two duress button stations will be provided at the Reception desk to unlock the existing door from the Reception to the school Corridor. Wiring will feed back to existing data racks and panel boards. Existing finishes and ceilings to be patch/repaired/replaced as needed.

Bid Submittal and Opening

Sealed proposals will be received by the Provo School District until the bid time and date at the location indicated below, for all construction work to complete the above referenced project in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by VCBO Architecture.

Project Scope: Amelia Earhart Elementary School

Scope: Amelia Earhart Elementary security upgrade adds two aluminum storefront doors with access control, to the hallways flanking the Main Entry Lobby, allowing visitors into the Lobby, but will not be able to access the classroom spaces. Card readers are provided for staff at both doors. Visitors then access the Main Office through the Lobby to check in. Duress buttons have been added in two locations at the Reception desk, allowing staff to unlock the east or west classroom wing doors, to allow visitors through. A third button at each station of the Reception desk releases the existing magnetic hold open on the Reception door, allowing it to shut and lock in an emergency as well. Wiring will feed back to existing branch circuits and panel boards. Existing finishes and ceilings to be patched/repaired/replaced as needed to install the new doors.

Project Scope: Wasatch Elementary School

Scope: The security upgrade at Wasatch Elementary includes one aluminum storefront & doors with access control at the interior of the Main Entry Lobby. A card reader will be provided for staff access at the new door. Modifications to existing window glazing and existing Reception door are required. Duress buttons will be added at two Reception desks to unlock the new storefront doors for visitor access. Wiring will feed back to existing data racks and panel boards. Existing finishes and ceilings to be patch/repaired/replaced as needed to install the new storefront.
