Earlier this week, Provost Elementary hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of their new school building.

The event began with Principal Steve Oliverson speaking on the transition from the old building to the new building. Jennifer Partridge, PTA president, then spoke on her own child’s experience at the school and their experience with the new building transition.

Following Jennifer, Shannon Poulsen spoke on the importance of the previously passed bond and the great things that the bond was able to do for the school district, including the construction of the new Provost building.  A few students were then selected to help plant the first few trees outside of Provost.

After the ceremony, students were able to enter the school for the first time and explore the new hallways and features. Not only this, but they were able to find out which teacher they were assigned to for this upcoming school year.

Thank you to Hogan Construction and to all those who made the construction of this new building possible.
