Congratulations to Lynnette Risk and Sina Albert for being nominated as the Daily Herald’s Educator and Student of the Week.

Lynnette Risk, a sixth grade teacher at Rock Canyon Elementary, was nominated as the Daily Herald’s Educator of the Week due to her effective and loving teaching abilities. Her nominator said, “Lynnette has amazing teacher qualities and gifts that serve her well as a sixth grade teacher at Rock Canyon Elementary. She words hard, and gets to know her students by providing a very uplifting/positive student-teacher relationship with her students. She takes the time to work with those kids who struggle academically and she can tell have some challenges with their personal/home life. She has high expectations, great discipline factors instilled in her classroom for positive learning experiences. The students respond to her, respect her and I think really like her as a teacher”. Congratulations to Lynnette!

Sina Albert was nominated as the Daily Herald’s Student of the Week due to her kind and helpful attitude. She is a sixth grade student at Lakeview Elementary who strives to includes others and lights up the room with her positive attitude. Sina feels that it is important to be a good student because it helps you to better understand what you’re learning and helps you have success throughout your life. Congratulations to Sina!
