The Provo School District Foundation’s annual Easter Basket Auction will be held on Thursday, March 29.  The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Riverside Country Club.  As part of this year’s event, certain pieces of art will be open for bidding in the days leading up to the event.

Local artist, Nicholas Coleman, has donated a painting to be auctioned at the event.  The painting is an oil on panel titled “On The Salt River.”  The painting was completed in 2018 and the scene depicted is near Aspen, Wyoming.

“The use of light and color is so exquisite in this painting it seems you have just gotten out of your car at a Scenic View turn off and here you are in this brilliantly lit, serenely peaceful place feeling the sun on your face, hearing the river splashing at the shore and the grass gently swaying in the breeze, curious about the lives lived in the tepees.”

The bidding will begin at $500 and is now open.

Bidding will continue through the night of the event.  Anyone interested in placing a bid should contact Lauren Schoenwald at 801-374-4802.
