The month of November is Native American Heritage month, and as part of celebrating our Native American students and families, Provo City School District and the Native American parent committee held the first Native American Heritage Day on Monday.  During the school day, all 172 Native American students in the district were invited to wear tribal dress to school and the day culminated in a cultural celebration Monday evening.  During the celebration, multiple Native American tribes were represented.  Those is attendance were able to learn about each tribe, as well as participate in various activities and watch a fashion show. The Daily Herald attended the celebration that night and provided a great write-up and pictures.
