Spring Break PreK – 12 Student Learning Activities 

During the week of Spring Break, parents might choose to continue student learning activities with their children. The activities listed below will help to keep students engaged and learning while school is out for Spring Break.

Please note:  These are listed in grade order, from Preschool to High School. We hope these might be fun, family learning times!

  • Reading: Hey 6th graders, ask your parents or guardians to go to the link below and sign up for a free 30 day Epic account.  You will be able to choose from thousands of available books! Choose one you are interested in and start reading at getepic.com here!
  • Virtual Field Trip: Join Boeing and Discovery Education on a mission to inspire the world through aerospace innovation with an exclusive virtual field trip to historic Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. This behind-the-scenes tour will introduce students to just a few of the amazing Boeing employees who are preparing to write the next chapter of space history with the launch of the Starliner/CST-100 spacecraft and the deployment of the Space Launch System (SLS).   • Writing: You are now a historian!  Starting today, you will keep a journal using the medium of your choice (examples include, a notebook, Google Slides, Google Docs, etc). Each day, reflect on what you are seeing either from the news, social media, or your own family. Consider how the world, our nation, your community, friends and family are responding to this pandemic.
  • Build real working apps, games and websites using blocks, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and more. Visit code.org here. 
  • Practice math facts and explore other fun math games. Parents you can access this at roomrecess.com here.  
  • Another interactive math website students and parents can visit is prodigygame.com here. 
  • PE: Get outside and play! Go for a walk/jog/run, ride your bike, go on a hike with your family (play catch, shoot hoops, play soccer, play freeze tag. Remember social distancing!)
    • Raining: visit Go Noodle here to check-out ideas to move with your family.
