Local Baker Encourages Lakeview Students to Dream Big

Lakeview students recently were visited by local baker and “Cake Wars” winner Pete Tidwell during an after school program.

Pete Tidwell, aka “The Mighty Baker”, was recently featured on Food Network’s popular TV show “Cake Wars”. He won the “Halo”-themed competition and received a $10,000 prize along with the opportunity to have his cake featured at the 2016 “Halo World Championship”.

Pete visited Lakeview to share his journey of becoming a baker and to help inspire students to never give up on their dreams. He brought ornamental pieces of his winning cake to show students, as well as the award certificates he received from the competition.
