Provo City School District Covid-19 Updates

This week, all of our Provo City School District schools are celebrating National School Lunch Week!

This annual event is a week where schools celebrate the school lunch program. One of the goals of National School Lunch Week is to show how school cafeterias are serving up favorable menu items, while also increasing child choice and customization. The other goal is to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and demonstrate the impact it has on the child both inside and outside the classroom.

The theme for this year is “School Lunch: What’s on Your Playlist?” The activities for this year are influenced by three musical genres which have been represented on a different day during the week; the 80’s, Disco and Country-Western. The cafeterias in each school are decorated in each genre and feature a fun menu, food art, photo booths, contests, prizes and giveaways during lunch.

Make sure to stop by your school’s cafeteria this week to see all the fun going on for National School Lunch Week.
