Emily Nelson Awarded Utah PTA Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to Emily Nelson! Emily has been selected as the Utah State PTA Volunteer of the Year.

Every year, the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) recognizes outstanding volunteers who have given many hours to help make their school community an overall better place for both the students and the staff. The PTA is determined to help empower parents to make a difference in, not only the education, but the health and safety of America’s children as well.

Through joining the PTA, parents can become more aware of what’s going on in their child’s school, as well as help to make necessary improvements. This is a great organization that gives parents an opportunity to help to make their school’s environment the best it can be.

Emily Nelson will be recognized at a state school board meeting as well as at a PTA convention, which is attended by many surrounding states.

People like Emily are what help to make our district a wonderful place to be. Thank you to Emily for your dedicated efforts to serving Spring Creek Elementary students and staff.
