Canyon Crest had the opportunity kick off Red Ribbon Week this week through a school-wide assembly that included some special guests.

Red Ribbon Week is a week that is dedicated to educating students about the importance of living healthy, drug-free lifestyles. The organization’s efforts are devoted towards the well being of youth through advocacy and drug prevention education. The week is observed annually in October throughout the United States.

The assembly included BYU athletes Eric Mika and Travis Hansen as special guest speakers. They taught students that their choices are ultimately their greatest superpower. Through their example, students were able to see the positive impacts that living a healthy lifestyle can have on a person’s physical and mental health.

Thank you to BYU athletes for an inspiring assembly and for being great role models to our students.
