Be a StepUp Utah Scholar!

Getting ready for college can feel overwhelming. There’s so much to do! But don’t worry, StepUp Utah Scholars can help. When you sign up to be a StepUp Utah Scholar, you will:

• Learn what you need to do during each grade to be ready for college.
• Receive the StepUp to Higher Education monthly newsletter with college prep tips and scholarship opportunities.
• Earn the StepUp Utah Scholars certificate and medallion to wear at graduation, and be able to add the distinction of StepUp Utah Scholar to your resume.

To receive the StepUp Utah Scholars recognition certificate and medallion, you need to have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and complete 20 Next Steps from the grade-by-grade checklists before you graduate high school. While you can complete these steps at any time, it’s best to do several each year so you stay focused and on track. Don’t forget to keep track of which Next Steps you complete!

By completing these steps, you’ll be more ready for college by the end of your senior year.

2. Keep track of the Next Steps you complete in grades 8-12.
3. Maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA through high school.
4. Submit the StepUp Utah Scholars application your senior year.
5. Go to college!
