Each year, Provo City School District proudly recognizes exceptional educators from across the district for their dedication, excellence, and the positive impact they have on our students. During the Board Meeting held on May 13, 2025, we had the privilege of honoring the following outstanding teachers. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each of them and express our sincere gratitude to all PCSD teachers for their invaluable contributions to education.

Theodore Ballin – Alternative Programs

Ted creatively addresses unique security needs at Slate Canyon School through innovative PE programs. His structured workouts help students set goals, measure progress, and develop teamwork and leadership. Ted’s dedicated efforts transformed physical education into a valued part of student life, inspiring enthusiasm and lifelong fitness.

Katie Davis – Amelia Earhart Elementary

Katie blends meticulous classroom management with genuine care, creating a nurturing space for student growth. She incorporates targeted assessments and student feedback effectively and co-founded the school’s musical theatre program. Katie’s advocacy and holistic approach profoundly impact her students, colleagues, and community.

Taylor Kinsey – Canyon Crest Elementary

Taylor Kinsey’s student-centered, data-driven teaching actively engages students by connecting new concepts clearly to prior knowledge. Her collaborative spirit fosters strong support networks among colleagues, families, and students. Mindy Haws – Centennial Middle School

Mindy’s warmth and engaging lessons keep students excited and involved. Holly Patching – Edgemont Elementary

Cassidy Diamond – Franklin Elementary

Shane Rowley – Lakeview Elementary
