Our students in Provo’s Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) are working for Rocky Mountain Therapy Dogs (RMTD) to help spread the word, and they’re calling all dog lovers! RMTD asks you to join their mission of spreading health, hope, and healing throughout Utah County. The organization, known for its impactful work with therapy dog teams, is hosting a special Team Recruitment Event to welcome new handlers and their canine companions into the RMTD family.
The event will take place At Timpview High School on April 23rd, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. , providing attendees with a firsthand look at the powerful impact therapy dogs have on the community. Prospective teams will learn about the certification process, meet experienced handlers, and discover how their furry friends can make a difference in nursing homes, schools, and other community spaces.
“Our therapy dogs bring comfort and companionship to those in need, and with our recent expansion in Utah County, we’re looking for more amazing teams to help meet the growing demand,” said Amber Miller Executive Director at RMTD. “This event is the perfect opportunity for dog owners to explore how they can contribute to our mission.”
The recruitment event will feature:
RMTD encourages dog owners to attend and learn more about how to become part of this meaningful initiative. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to share the unconditional love and comfort that dogs bring to those in need. Please no dogs at the event.
