We at Provo City School District believe it takes a village, a community, to raise a fully-developed child.

We also believe creating a rich and fully developed community takes many voices.

That is where you come in.

Provo City School District hosts six Student Advocacy Committees. The goal of the committees is to:

  • Provide parents, legal guardians, and caregivers an opportunity to participate in our student’s school life.
  • Unite caregivers and the district to foster positive communication and learn more about cultural and social differences.
  • Nurture community involvement by providing educational opportunities on social and cultural awareness.
  • Celebrate the diverse cultures and social differences in Provo City.
  • Provide guidance and support to lead all students towards graduation.

The six committees we currently host are:

  • Native American Title VI
  • Latino
  • Pacific Islander
  • Black/African American
  • Asian
  • LGBTQ+

Please note that our Black/African American, Asian, LGBTQ+, and Pacific Islander meetings will be in a hybrid format with some in-person and Zoom meetings. Look over the descriptions below for details.

Meetings will take place in-person at the Grandview Technology Center Conference room or Grandview Learning Center (1591 Jordan Ave) and through the Zoom virtual platform (links below).
