Policy 6710 Federally Assisted Child Nutrition Programs

Provo City School District supports the federally assisted Child Nutrition Program including the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), Afterschool Snack Program (ASSP), Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP), the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) ,and all other federally assisted child nutrition programs that primarily serve the nutritional needs of children we may implement in the future.

Data supports that children who eat nutritious food are better able to learn in the classroom. The Child Nutrition Program aims to provide all children with nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free meals each school day.
