Each year, the students of Provost Elementary work to put on a special production for their parents and community. This year the school will follow that tradition with Bots. Directed by Provost’s media specialist, Kirsti Kirkland, the students have poured their hearts into this performance. Their hard work, passion, and creativity are evident in every scene, and we are excited to share it with the community.
One of the stories Bots tells is the story of the Bulldogs, a team of kids competing in their first-ever robotics competition. With their program’s future on the line, they must face the reigning champions, who have the most resources. Along the way, the Bulldogs learn important lessons about teamwork, grit, and the power of optimism. It’s a heartwarming tale that will resonate with all ages.
Here’s an excerpt from the director’s note:
“As you watch this show, I hope our characters come to life for you, and that you see a reflection of yourself in them. Some of us may relate with Bulldog—small, insignificant, and a little broken. Others may be like Robo—seemingly perfect on the outside but silently struggling within. Maybe you’re a Nano, believing you have to handle everything alone, afraid that asking for help will make you seem weak. Or perhaps you’re a Tinker, just trying to fit in, hoping to find where you truly belong.”
