Technology keeps our world moving, and in Provo City School District, it’s Chelsey Beck who ensures that movement never falters. As the District Office’s Educational Technology Coordinator, Chelsey is responsible for keeping hundreds of platforms, applications, and programs running smoothly—a task that often goes unnoticed but is crucial to student and staff success.
Judy Rose, Director of Elementary Teaching and Learning, recognized Chelsey’s extraordinary contributions and nominated her for the Provo Way Award. In her nomination, she highlighted Chelsey’s dedication:
“Chelsey plays a critical role in ensuring that hundreds of platforms, applications, and programs function seamlessly, allowing students and educators to focus on learning without technological barriers. Her work is marked by an exceptional level of personal accountability. She does not simply respond to technology help requests—she takes ownership of challenges, finding solutions quickly and efficiently. Whether troubleshooting an urgent issue, implementing new tools, or guiding staff through technical processes, Chelsey consistently goes above and beyond to provide clear, effective support.”
Beyond her technical expertise, Chelsey brings a problem-solving mindset and a genuine desire to help others succeed. Whether rolling out new tools, troubleshooting on the fly, or helping teachers navigate tech challenges, she does it all with patience and dedication. As Rose so aptly put it:
“I think Chelsey is the magician behind the curtain. Our entire district depends on her to manage countless systems. Most of the time, we have no idea how much she’s doing to keep things running smoothly. What makes Chelsey truly stand out isn’t just her technical expertise. It’s how much she genuinely cares.”
In a world where technology is essential yet often invisible, Chelsey’s work ensures that learning can happen seamlessly. Today, we pull back the curtain to celebrate her commitment and impact. Congratulations, Chelsey, and thank you for your unwavering dedication to the students and staff of Provo City School District!
