Invest Nest, Ronda 3

From AI-assisted vehicle inspections to stitched-from-scratch streetwear, Round 3 of Invest Nest Provo proved that our students are dreaming big and building the future one pitch at a time.

Hosted on April 14 at ObservePoint’s private venue, The Garage, the final round of the student business competition featured seven standout ventures presented to a powerhouse panel of judges. Each student started their Invest Nest journey with their unique business plan and the guts to back it all up. After weeks of mentorship and refinement to the razor’s edge, they took the stage with trimmed-up, well-honed pitches.

This year’s 3rd-round contestants included:

• Collin Casperson (Caspy Car Care) – A car detailing business tailored to rental agencies.
• Connor Casperson (Caspy Creations) – A creative agency for logo design and video campaigns.
• Matt Hodges (Wash and Shine Window Cleaners, 2nd Place) – A professional window cleaning business.
• Miguel Lucena (Lucena Co.)   – A fashion-forward retail brand, focused on signature styles.
• Blake Baker (Velo, 3rd Place) – An emoto bike accessory company offering foot pegs, valve caps, air tag mounts, and more.
• Evan Hernandez (Subliminal) – A digital custom jeans line, built from handmade roots to tech-driven precision.
• Jared Faulkner (Identify Automotive, 1st Place) – A groundbreaking vehicle inspection app soon powered by proprietary AI.
• Jeffrey Smalley – A returning entrepreneur refining his business strategy.
• Elijah Barillas (Playback Garden) – An event production company for live music and performances.

It is always a surprise to see high school students share market knowledge and cost breakdowns, always exciting to hear their unique and thoughtful responses to tough questions. We congratulate them for their hard work, and wish them luck on their entrepreneurial journeys– they’ll be students to keep an eye out for in the coming years.
