In the modern day, STEM/STEAM – science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics – are some of the most important skills and abilities for our students to acquire. To champion this, our nation celebrates National STEM/STEAM day on November 8th.

The STEAM field is wide and encompassing, and features areas like robotics, web design, chemical engineering, and many more. In order to have a strong and positive future, it is important to embrace STEAM and for our children to gain a passion for this important type of learning.

And, of course, for many children playing with LEGOs and participating in mad science-style projects can be an enormous amount of fun.

While November 8th is National STEM/STEAM Day, celebrating STEAM education is a year-round pursuit. On October 7th, Canyon Crest hosted their STEM Night for their students and parents.

At the event, participants played with robotics, solved challenges using technology, performed fun chemistry experiments, enjoyed many more concepts and activities through the lens of science, technology, engineering, and math.

Celebra el Día Nacional de STEAM

Hoy en día, las ciencias, la tecnología, la ingeniería, las artes y las matemáticas (STEAM) son algunas de las destrezas y habilidades más importantes que deben adquirir nuestros estudiantes. Para defender esto, nuestra nación celebra el día nacional de STEAM el 8 de noviembre.

Las áreas STEAM son muy amplias y abarcan áreas como la robótica, el diseño web, la ingeniería química y muchas más. Para tener un futuro fuerte y positivo, es importante aprovechar las STEAM y que nuestros hijos se apasionen por este importante tipo de aprendizaje.

Y, por supuesto, para muchos niños jugar con LEGOs y participar en proyectos al estilo de la ciencia loca puede ser muy divertido.

Si bien el 8 de noviembre es el Día Nacional de STEM/STEAM, la celebración de la educación STEAM es algo que se realiza durante todo el año. El 7 de octubre, Canyon Crest organizó su Noche STEM para sus estudiantes y padres.

En el evento, los participantes jugaron con la robótica, resolvieron retos utilizando la tecnología, realizaron divertidos experimentos de química y disfrutaron de muchos más conceptos y actividades a través de los objetivos de la ciencia, la tecnología, la ingeniería y las matemáticas.
