During the conclusion of the school year students of Edgemont Elementary and Provo Peaks Elementary competed against 5,000 students from coast to coast in the Infini-D League and won 1st and 3rd place, respectively.

The Infini-D League is a yearly event where students work with their classmates to try to earn the highest score in a learning based, immersive video game. The students utilize the system throughout the whole year. However, the final event is a winner-takes-all contest in which students are put on an even playing field and pit against their peers from different schools and school districts.

Founder Skyler Brooks personally came to the school to present the young victors their award and to celebrate alongside them. The students were thrown a party and handed a trophy for their accomplishment. Following the trophy ceremony and the celebration, one of Infini-D’s in-house animators sat down with each class and designed a character which students will interact with in the future.

Infini-D Learning is an engagement centered learning start-up headquartered in Provo. Their mission is to invite children into an environment where they can utilize learning from the classroom in a way that engages them in a fun and interactive way.

Teachers who use the Infini-D platform can tailor activities to the material they are teaching. The “missions” children go on are events they look forward to. Classmates use their knowledge and work together to accomplish tasks and win missions. After the event, teachers are given data they can use to track the children’s progress to be used to improve their education and development.
