Provo City School District is aware of the difficulty of getting the proper protective eye wear for students to safely observe the eclipse. Keeping the safety of all of our students students in mind, students will not be allowed to go outside to view the eclipse without certified protective eyewear. Teachers/classes using other devices such as pinhole cameras or telescopes with lenses will be able to view the eclipse. The district is recommending that students without protective eyewear be kept indoors and allowed to watch the event online.
Please note that parents are welcome to check students out of school to witness this event with their family.
