You’ve heard of the “Five for Fight” movement the Utah Jazz is putting on? Well, our very own Technological Student Association at Dixon Middle School joined in the Utah Jazz movement. However, Dixon’s spin off called it, “Donations for the Cancer Research Fight.” They raised money to fund more cancer research.
Dixon students and faculty wrote names of loved ones they knew who have suffered, or are currently suffering with cancer. Then they were photographed, just like the “Five for Fight” movement. Almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Pushing this fundraiser was a way for the students to fight against cancer and help those who are struggling with it at this time. The students ended up raising $598.38, only $1.62 short from their goal of $600!
We are proud of our students for pushing such a good cause and raising money to help those in need.
