This past weekend, students from around the district gathered to talk about one common interest- technology.
Provo High School hosted the 2nd annual “Tech High Day” event, which is an event for junior high students to come together to learn about various aspects of technology. The event has different breakout sessions, which included topics such as 3D printing, hacking, website building, coding and much more.
The Daily Herald featured this annual event today with the emphasis on the effect that it has on a student’s STEM experience. They said “This is the second year Google Fiber has partnered with Provo High School to deliver a tech experience to junior high students. It originally started with a focus on involving girls in tech and coding, but that focus broadened to offer free tech classes to any Provo junior high student eager to learn more in the STEM focuses.”
Thank you to all involved in putting on “Tech High Day” and to the Daily Herald for writing a great article about this outstanding STEM opportunity for students.
