#BehindTheMask with Social Worker Isabel Gomes

#BehindTheMask of this Superhero is Franklin Elementary School social worker Isabel Gomes.

Isabel has been working for Provo City School District for five years. Isabel is best known for her dedication and care. One time she even dumpster-dived to help a student retrieve their glasses! 

When her coworkers were asked what they admired about her, this is what they said:

“Isabel is always positive, even when there is reason to vent or complain.”

“Isabel is extremely professional.” 

“Isabel is the hardest worker on our team.”

“Isabel goes above and beyond.”

“Isabel is always willing to help out.”

“Isabel cares so much about her students and others.”

Thank you, Isabel, for mentoring our students and making our school communities a more empathetic and kind place.

“It’s a team effort,” says Gomes. “I’m able to do what I do because of the great support and staff we have here at Franklin.”
